Stress free sleep is what each and every one of us wants given the stressful environments we have to face in school, at work and at home. It is our respite from a whole day of tension from the said environments.

1. Have A Regular Sleeping Pattern
One of the factors of having a stress free sleep is doing off and waking up at the same time. You should go to bed and rise up at a particular time. A regular sleeping and waking patters sets off your biological automatically thus helping you to be stress free.
2. Regular Exercise
Jogging regularly or following a regular exercise regimen will help you sleep better. One of the reasons for not being able to sleep well is because of a lot of pent up energy in your body that keeps you up in the morning.
3. Turn the Light Off
A dark environment helps you to fall asleep faster thereby leading to a stress free sleep.
4. Your Bed
Do not use your bed for anything other than sleeping. Putting a lot of things on your bed makes it look messy and in turn produces an uneasy feeling every time you see it. Free up the space on your bed so that it looks spick and span and you don’t have worry about things falling off.
5. A Light Snack
Munching on some biscuits, soda crackers or eating oatmeal or oatmeal and drinking a cup of water or milk is a good way to make you fall asleep. Milk contains tryptophan which induces sleep. You should never go to bed hungry as this will trigger enzymes that will make you feel grouchy and as a result eat up on your sleeping time.
6. No Noise
A quiet room is more convenient for a sound and stress free sleep. Noise irritates not only the ears but the head and the whole body as well. You can substitute noise by playing light, slow as well as meditative music which help soothe your senses and prepare you for a stress free sleep.
7. Sleeping Rituals
Develop a nightly habit before you doze off. You can read, listen to music, pray and the like. These help induce a sleepy mood and eventually get you to sleep.
8. End the Day Well
Make sure to settle every issue you have-be it at work, in school or at home- before you go to bed. Issues have you thinking and may have you up all night.
9. Wear Comfortable Clothes
Wear clothes that are according to season. Wear short and light clothes like shorts and shirt when it’s hot and wear warm and long clothes such as jacket and pajamas when it’s cold.
10. Avoid Stimulants
Drinks like tea and coffee keeps you up at night and hinders you from having a sound sleep. Stay away from them if you plan to have a good night’s rest.
